In accordance with the provisions of the newly released draft, this official fee increase covers multiple links including application, search and examination. Let's take a look at the detailed adjusted fees as follows:

一、Standard Trademark Application Fee Increase

At present, there are two filing options for U.S. trademark applications, namely TEAS Plus (the standardized filing) and TEAS Standard (the non - standardized filing), with respective fees of $250 per class and $350 per class. The new draft intends to unify both fees and adjust them to $350 per class.

二、An Increase in Additional Handling Fees
Furthermore, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) also intends to impose an additional processing fee of $100 per class for trademark applications with incomplete information. Previously, only some applications that failed to meet the requirements for standard filings were required to pay supplementary official fees.

三、The fee for submitting evidence of use in intent - to - use trademark applications will increase.
For filings based on the intent - to - use basis, the official fee for submitting evidence of use will increase from $100 to $150 per class, representing a 50% surge. Applicants filing on the intent - to - use basis may request an extension of time to submit such evidence up to six times, with the official fee set at $125 per class for each extension request. Specifically, the official fee will remain unchanged for the first to third extension requests, while it will be adjusted to $250 per class for the fourth to sixth requests

四、Trademark renewal and oath fees increased
The official fees for trademark renewal, Section 8 declaration and Section 15 incontestability declaration have all been raised to varying degrees. Specifically, the official fee for trademark renewal (Section 9 Renewal) per class has increased by $50, the fee for Section 8 declaration per class has gone up by $75, and the fee for Section 15 incontestability declaration per class has risen by $50
